Where will Petey land next?

Petey's Pelican Drop is A Pensacola Perspective's community treasure hunt that encourages families, friends, and neighbors to get outside, explore Northwest Florida, and discover the people and places that make our communities unique.

Throughout the year, Petey hides mystery prize packages at parks, landmarks, small businesses, and other local destinations. When a new drop is ready, we'll post a riddle on our Facebook page. Solve the clues, race to the location, and see if you're the first to find Petey!

Every drop is different, and you never know what surprises Petey may have in store.

More than a giveaway, Petey's Pelican Drop is about strengthening our communities by encouraging exploration, supporting local businesses, and creating memorable experiences for families across Escambia County and beyond.

Get to know us

A Pensacola Perspective (APP) is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on strengthening community connection, encouraging volunteerism, and supporting positive engagement throughout Escambia County and the greater Panhandle region.

APP organizes volunteer opportunities across need-based spaces throughout the community, including public space cleanups, community support initiatives, donation drives, and outreach efforts designed to directly assist local residents. We help coordinate the collection and redistribution of supplies, clothing, food, hygiene items, and other essential resources that are provided back to the community free of charge.

Our organization also supports care package initiatives for the local homeless and transient population while working to promote dignity, compassion, and stronger community involvement across all backgrounds.

In addition, APP focuses on helping families and young people connect to meaningful spaces through local storytelling programming, volunteer opportunities, educational engagement, and healthy participation within the community. Through events, partnerships, and outreach, we aim to encourage civic pride, local awareness, and long-term investment in the people and places that make the Gulf Coast unique.
